Greater Montréal’s information and communications technology (ICT) industry is thriving. While a lot of authors look at ICT as gadgets, we at TechnoMontréal look at it as a business. That business represents the most important private sector industry in the Greater Montréal region, with one person in ten working in ICT. Our business men and women work in an environment that is both local and global, covering not only the ICT industry but also all the other industrial sectors as well. This blog is about them, their challenges, their markets, their suppliers, their governments, etc.
TechnoMontréal’s role is to help further develop Greater Montréal’s ICT industry. We bring to light opportunities for our companies and innovators to develop their business, to get to know each other better and to gain visibility. By helping to build a stronger ICT industry, we aim to show that Greater Montréal is a world-leader in high-tech innovation.
The official TechnoMontréal Web site covers industry news and activities and is a valuable source of information for our businesses. Blog TechnoMontréal complements the web site, acting as a space for us to:
- initiate and maintain a dialogue within our ICT community and open it to the world,
- react to news and subjects that are of interest to the industry,
- provide innovators with one more channel to gain visibility (the key to this blog is interactivity; if you have something interesting to say about yourself, your company, your projects, WE WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT!),
- give visibility to under-represented sectors in the industry
